This Privacy Policy does not apply to personal information collected about employees or applicants for employment.

Persons with Whom We Share or Disclose Personal Information
We do not share Personal Information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you have requested or under the following circumstances:
- Affiliates – We may share or disclose your Personal Information or obtain Personal Information from, one or more of our affiliates or subsidiaries for any of the purposes described herein (collectively, “Affiliates”). In addition, our Affiliates may share or disclose your Personal Information with, or may receive your Personal Information from, one or more of the other Affiliates. - Social Media – Our website may offer integrated social media features, such as the Facebook “Like” button, which let you share actions that you take on our social media pages. You may control who views your social media activity by adjusting your settings on the social media platform.
- As Permitted by Law - We may be required to share your Personal Information with law enforcement or government agencies in response to subpoenas, court orders, federal/state audits or similar circumstances. We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Truthed’s Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law.
- Business Transfer - As with any other business, it is possible that Truthed in the future could merge with or be acquired by another company. If such an acquisition occurs, the successor company would have access to the information maintained by Truthed, including customer account information, but would continue to be bound by this privacy policy unless you consent otherwise.
- Consent – We may also share or disclose your Personal Information with your permission.
We do not sell your sensitive data. Sensitive data includes: (a) personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, mental or physical health diagnosis, sexuality, or citizenship or immigration status, (b) genetic or biometric data that is processed for the purpose of uniquely identifying an individual, (c) personal data collected from a known child, or (d) precise geolocation.
We do not sell your biometric personal data. Biometric personal data is generated by automatic measures of an individual’s biological characteristics. The term includes a fingerprint, voiceprint, eye retina or iris, or other unique biological pattern or characteristic that is used to identify a specific individual. The term does not include a physical or digital photograph or data generated from a physical or digital photograph, a video or audio recording or data generated from a video or audio recording, or information collected, used, or stored for health care treatment, payment, or operations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (42 U.S.C. § 1320d et seq.)
Aggregated Data
We may make certain automatically-collected, aggregated, or otherwise de-identified Personal Information available to third parties for various purposes, including (i) compliance with various reporting obligations, (ii) for business or marketing purposes, or (iii) to assist such parties in understanding our users’ interests, habits, and usage patterns for certain programs, content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality available through our website.
Cookies
To serve you faster and with better quality, we use "cookies" technology. Cookies are small bits of code, usually stored on a user's computer hard drive, which enable a website to "personalize" itself for each user. We generally use cookies to reduce the time it takes for pages to load on your computer and to assist with customer tracking. Anti-Spam Policy
You will not receive Truthed email communications unless you submit your email address to us and register to receive them. You may also receive emails that advertise Truthed's services from third party publishers. We have established firm ground rules for dealing with any third party email services to ensure that advertisements for Truthed are not sent out through a "spam" mailing -- ensuring that our offers are sent only to those individuals who have given their permission to the third party email service to receive email communications. If any third party email publisher refuses to abide by Truthed's anti-spam policy, we will not use that publisher's services. If you want to stop receiving emails from a third party, you should follow the opt-out instructions included in the third party email, so that you will not be included in any future mailings. An "unsubscribe" link should appear within or at the top or bottom of the email you received. If there is no unsubscribe link or the link does not work, please bring that to our attention by emailing Truthed Customer Care.
California’s Shine the Light Act
If you reside in California and have provided us with your Personal Information, you may request information about our disclosures of certain categories of Personal Information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Such requests must include your name, street address, city, state, and zip code. Within thirty (30) days of receiving such a request, we will provide a list of the categories of Personal Information disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of those third parties.
This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. We reserve our right not to respond to requests submitted to addresses other than those specified in this paragraph.

Right to Access Information

Right to Delete Information
If you are a Resident, you have the right to request that Truthed delete your Personal Information. Depending on where you live, certain exceptions may apply.
Once Truthed receives and verifies a Resident’s identity or the requestor’s authority to make the request, we will delete your Personal Information from our records. We will also direct our service providers to delete your Personal Information from their records.
If we are unable to honor your request, we will notify you and provide an explanation.
Right to Correct
Residents have the right to request that Truthed correct any inaccurate Personal Information that is has collected.

How to Exercise Your Privacy Rights

The request must:
- provide sufficient information to allow Truthed to verify that the person submitting the request is the person or the authorized representative of the person whose Personal Information is implicated by the request.
- describe the Resident’s request with sufficient detail to allow Truthed to properly understand, evaluate and respond to it.
Only a Resident, or a person authorized to act on a Resident’s behalf, may make a request to Truthed related to the Resident’s Personal Information. A Resident may also make a request on behalf of their minor child.
If Truthed cannot verify a Resident’s identity or a requestor’s authority to make a request on behalf of a Resident, Truthed cannot respond.
You do not have to create an account to submit a consumer request.
Truthed will only use Personal Information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.
To exercise their rights under applicable state law, Residents or their authorized representative must submit a verifiable request to Truthed by emailed [email protected] or by submitting a request through our Privacy Center.
Response Timing and Format
If Truthed receives a verifiable consumer request, it will respond within the time frame provided by applicable law.
For data portability requests, we will provide the Resident’s Personal Information in a form that is readily useable and should allow the Resident to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to a Resident’s verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell the Resident or their authorized representative why and provide the Resident or their authorized representative with a cost estimate before completing the request.
Appeal
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our response. Within a reasonable time, not to exceed 60 days, after you have received a notice that we have declined to take action your request, you may appeal by sending your appeal to [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond to you within 60 days of receipt of the appeal in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions.

Non-Discrimination Notice
Truthed will not discriminate against any Resident for exercising their rights under applicable state law. Specifically, Truthed will not:

Unsubscribe

Please note that Truthed can only control its own mailing list and policies. Third-party advertisers that maintain their own mailing lists may send communications that advertise our services, and you may need to contact these parties directly in order to stop receiving their email communications. Also, please note that if you enter into a transaction through our website, we may send you a thank you note, ask for a satisfaction rating, request a testimonial and give you periodic product reminders as part of your service.
Limit Use of Cookies and Other Web-Based Tracking Technologies

Despite our best efforts, no internet transmission or cloud storage system is 100% secure. Truthed shall not be held liable if a third party illegally obtains your personal information that was submitted to or otherwise collected by us.
Third Party Links
This privacy policy applies to all information that you provide to Truthed. However, when you visit websites to which Truthed provides a link, keep in mind you will be interacting with a third party that operates under its own privacy and security policy. If you choose to obtain certain services through a third party site, the data collected by the third party is governed by that third party's privacy policy. A third party site will also have its own policy regarding the use of cookies and clear gifs. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any other service provider from whom you request services.
You acknowledge and agree that, by clicking a link to, or otherwise accessing a third-party site, your Personal Information may be read, collected, shared, distributed, or otherwise used by the third-party site. We are not responsible for any Personal Information that you submit, or otherwise make available to, third party sites.
If Truthed receives Personal Information from a third party that is not in conjunction with a service offered on our site, the use and disclosure of such information is governed by the agreement (if any) between Truthed and such third party.
A Special Note about Children's Privacy
The website is not directed to children under 13. We adhere to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and will not knowingly register or otherwise collect any Personal Information from any child under age 13.
